About Us
We are Bay Area residents concerned about the fading away of the American Dream.  Inspired by Van Jones' "Rebuild the Dream" campaign, we organize to bring people together to work toward getting our economy back on track and restore the American Dream.  We are not affiliated with a political party, candidate, or association, but we collaborate with other organizations both locally and nationally to advance the American Dream movement and its Contract (http://Contract.RebuildtheDream.com).

With 25 million Americans unable to find full-time work and poverty at a 52-year high, budget cuts to social programs threaten to put even more people out of work.  Many more will be stripped of their health insurance and continue the cycle of poverty.  Substandard systems that exist in many cities will further undermine our economy.  But Americans across the country are beginning to fight back by organizing grassroots movements to share their experiences and struggles in this economy and are calling for action.  We need Congress to create jobs and not cut lifeline programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and education.  Big corporations and the super rich should be required to pay their fair share.  And to get at the root of our problems, we must get money out of politics.

 Jobs, Not Cuts
• Build and Renew America:  Build roads and bridges, repair schools
• Clean Energy jobs, not Climate Change:  Promote green jobs
• Educate not Incarcerate:  Education for the 21st century
• Work not War:  End the wars and invest at home, jobs for Veterans
• Main Street not Wall Street:  Small business loans, fair taxes, refinance not foreclosures
• Money out of Politics:  Clean, fair elections
